Kevin Roper was raised in Pickens County, Georgia, and has dedicated his professional life to serving individuals and families in his community. A graduate of Pickens High School, Kevin earned a degree in Funeral Service from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia, and later obtained his bachelor's degree in Business from Ottawa University.
In 2001, Kevin purchased Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia, which he continues to own and operate. His longstanding commitment to public service also includes serving as Pickens County Coroner from 2004 to 2016. During that time, he investigated a wide range of cases, including motor vehicle accidents and homicides, and served as President of the Georgia Coroner's Association in 2013.
In 2014, Kevin began the path toward becoming an attorney, motivated by a desire to advocate for individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. After graduating from John Marshall Law School and passing the Georgia Bar, he opened his law practice in his hometown of Jasper.
Kevin's practice focuses on personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability claims. In addition to his work as a trial attorney, Kevin is also a registered mediator in the State of Georgia, bringing a balanced, solution-focused perspective to dispute resolution. His background allows him to approach cases with practical judgment, clear communication, and a steady, professional demeanor.
Kevin is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Trial Lawyers Association. In 2020, he was recognized as a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorney by the National Trial Lawyers Association.
Kevin and his wife, Leslie, reside in Canton, Georgia. He considers it an honor and a privilege to serve as a voice for those who have been wronged and is committed to helping clients throughout North Georgia—from the mountains to the city.
